I have been coaching CrossFit in London/Europe for the past year.  After working abroad in the advertising industry for 4 years, I decided to follow my passion and retrain as a CrossFit coach. I’m probably one of the biggest CrossFit junkies you will ever meet – my idea of a holiday was working at the CrossFit regionals and travelling around Europe in a van visiting gyms!

What is your Fitness background?
For 12 years I was a loyal follower of bench press Monday! Suffice to say that fitness has always been important in my life, but I never really felt I understood it until I started training in CrossFit. I don’t believe CrossFit is the only way to get fit, but it’s definitely the best way I know so far! I’m always reading and studying to make sure I know the best for my clients. In fact you will probably find me at the gym reading some strength and conditioning books on my tablet!

What results have you had training CrossFit?
I’ve become stronger and faster… like a ninja!

Favourite Excercise?
Handstand Push Ups

Worst Exercise?
Deadlifts

Interesting Fact?
I spent a season swimming with whale sharks in the Maldives:)

What is your Fitness background?

I have been into fitness since a young age. Playing multiple sports at school, including not but limited to: Basketball, Soccer, Cricket,Tennis and Badminton, I also pursued a variety of martial arts outside of school (Taekwando, Karate, Muay Thai, Aikido and Boxing).

At the age of 17, probably due to 1980’s action flicks like Rambo, Conan, and The Terminator, I got into lifting weights and body building. I continued this and martial arts training for 10 or so years.

What results have you had training CrossFit?
Getting stronger, faster & fitter – all at same time. I used to think that these things were mutually exclusive. Training and improving one aspect (such as strength) would decrease my cardio vascular endurance, or speed. CrossFit has shown me that increasing fitness across different domains is not only achievable, but synergistic.

Favourite Excercise?
Squats. The king of exercises.

Worst Exercise?
Burpees. And running. I hate running.

Interesting Fact?
I have small wrists
