You know someone is going to be an awesome CrossFitter when they arrive early, and leave late. Riss was an easy choice for this months member of the month, she arrives early to every class to work on her weaknesses, and she’s been on point with her nutrition lately! We’re not huge on transformation photos, but Riss has made a HUGE one! Thanks for being part of the CrossFit U community, and being an inspiration to all of us!

  • How long have you been at CrossFit U? A year and a few months
  • What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit? Hanging out with my partner Jo and our Staffy Daisy (fur-child)
  • What is your favourite and least favourite movements or WODS? Deadlift, wall balls and box jumps
  • What’s your biggest achievement from CrossFit? Recently, a rope climb, my first TTB and doing my first comp (and winning the first WOD)
  • What are you future goals? To consistent with double unders and a pull-up by Christmas.
  • Any advice for anyone just starting on their CrossFit Journey? Be kind to your body and take your time, make sure that you listen to any niggles. Also, get involved and get to know people. The CrossfitU community is full of some awesome people.
  • Tell us something we don’t know about you? When I was a kid (8-10) I was in a stilt walking club. We would wear stilts, big long trousers and make balloon animals at different fetes and festivals. A total hidden talent for parties 🙂
  • If there was a WOD called ‘Riss’, what would it consist of? 2 mins of max deadlifts, then 5 rounds of 20 wall balls and 10 box-jump-overs.
