It’s Cheongy! We’ve set you goals, we’ve talked a little bit about nutrition, and we’ve talked about recovery. Today I want to share with you a little hack, that can give you improved strength, improved body composition, and more energy throughout the day. All of this, and you don’t even need to step inside the gym.

Are you read for it ? All you need to do is make sure you’re getting 8+ hours sleep of QUALITY sleep. It’s one of the most important recovery tools we have in our training arsenal, and best of all – it’s free! Studies have shown that there is a correlation between the daily quality and quantity of sleep with our eating patterns, food metabolism and obesity. Whether it’s to look good, get stronger, or feel better – Sleep has everything to do with your goals!

So here’ a really simple habit that you can implement today. Take our your mobile phone, and set an alarm for sleep. Take note of the time your NEED To wake up, and work back 8.5 hours!

When your alarms goes off, it’s time to start your sleeping routine. We recommend you have a digital detox, no more phones, screens, or TVs – the blue light from these devices has been shown to disrupt your sleep. However if you MUST work late into the night, make sure you install blue light blocking applications like F.lux or Twilight.

Try it out this week, and see how you feel! Worse case scenario, you can binge watch those episodes of netflix next week if you don’t feel better!
